Sometimes people spend their lives planning and preparing for things to come, such as retirement or health issues as they age. Yet do we take the same amount of time to consider and reflect upon what type of legacy our lives will leave behind?

Dear Jesus,
the gift of my precious life
is a gift to be used
and poured out for others.
I want my life to make a
difference in the world,
in your messy, upside-down
beautiful Kingdom.
Show me what it means
to leave behind a legacy
that will bless and honor you.

Today ask what the Holy Spirit wants you to do with your one precious life. Determine to respond in generosity.
