Reflect
Often when children want to be heard they will simply continue to raise their voices until someone takes notice. As we grow older we still want to have our voices heard, but we know that oftentimes yelling is ineffective. There are other ways, though, in which we can speak up. We can use not only our voices, but we also can speak through our actions.
Pray
Each of us has something to say, Lord,
something that the world needs to hear.
Give us the strength and conviction to raise our voices
for the betterment of society
and for each of our brothers and sisters.
Act
Use your voice today to speak up on behalf of a cause that you care about. Check out our article on the work of Sister Anita Baird to protect equal voting rights
