Daily Reading from the USCCB: Hebrews 11:1-7
We’ve been hearing about the primeval history of humanity, about God’s relationship with human beings. To conclude our reading of this portion of Scripture we have today–from the Letter to the Hebrews–a summary of what we’ve been hearing.
Our relationship with God is a matter of faith. Faith provides the assurance that what God has promised us really exists. Faith enables us to look forward with confidence to the fulfillment of God’s promises. Faith demands that we believe that God exists and rewards those who seek him. This assurance is what makes our relationship with God possible.
It was faith that made all our fathers in God pleasing to him. It is faith that keeps us in touch with God today.
