Reflect
We find in Matthew 22: 37–38: “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment.” What comes to mind today as you read these words?
Pray
God,
The truth is some days I slip and slide
in my ability to understand loving you with my whole heart.
My mind becomes scattered.
My worries, my lack of sleep, my tasks, sometimes seem
to interfere with me immersing myself in my love of you.
I know you understand that I long for you with all of who I am,
wholly, and entirely.
And you will always be there, waiting for me to find you—
to find my way there.
Act
Today, can you add something to your home prayer practice to help offer a whole heart? Ask Mary to intercede and guide you closer to her son. Maybe light a candle at your kitchen table in honor of the Blessed Mother and say a Hail Mary at noon.
