The optimist believes everything will work itself out. As Christians we are not optimists; we are people of hope.
“Woe to the solitary person! If that one should fall, there is no other to help” (Ecclesiastes 4:10). The elderly and infirm are particularly vulnerable.
Think of what God has done for you in your life. Think of those moments when things seemed too much for you to handle, but in the end you came out stronger. God has never left you and never will.
We all like to hear “thank you” from time to time. Maybe we should thank God a little more often.
