Reflect Sometimes the world is overwhelming and fear gets the best of us. COVID 19, wildfires, hate crimes—just watching the news can be terrifying. In
Driving often brings out the worst in us. We have things to get done and so little time to do them. Anything that slows us down can make us irritable.
If I truly believe in the good news of the gospel, why am I not bursting to tell the world about it? Why am I not overflowing with joy that explodes into my daily life?
A young woman once politely declined an invitation by saying she was “already spoken for.” We all are already spoken for, as God has claimed us as his own.
Sometimes we’re so busy and distracted we don’t even notice the people God places in our paths. We miss out on the chance to be his hands and feet in the world.
The world says, “Put your best foot forward,” but sometimes I care so much about what the world thinks of me that the foot I put forward isn’t really mine—it belongs to someone I’m pretending to be.
