Notes from a Friar: Love Your Enemies
God loves us as we are and is willing to help us grow beyond our faults and failings.

Anyone who prays the Psalms over a period of time is bound to have some favorites. As a Franciscan and a Scripture scholar, I would like to share my personal favorites.
Francis dreamed of glory on the battlefield. He got his wish—in a sense. He became a knight of Christ and “the herald of the great King.”
Francis sums up his love for God in his simple little prayer: “My God and my all.”
“I love you, LORD, my strength…” (Psalm 18:2)
Today there are 20 decades to the Rosary. I find each mystery celebrating an event in Jesus’ and Mary’s life a thing of beauty.
