Saint Francis of Assisi famously said, “Let us begin again, for up to now we have done nothing.” Each day is a new start to make a difference in the world around you, to soak up God’s mercy and love for you, and to try again to be the best version of yourself for the Lord.

God didn’t put us here to fix, but just to be there. Practice presence with a friend or a family member today. Focus on what they’re saying and not on how you’re going to respond.

Take a look at your pilgrimage map. Where have you been? Where are you now? Where are you going? Are you still following the divine navigator?

Just like our clothes, our spiritual lives need to be laundered too.

The saying goes “the devil is in the details,” but I think rather God is in the details. His beauty is all around us if we choose to participate in his game of hide-and-seek. Go outside: watch, listen. Where do you see and hear God?

One can witness a storm, a fire, an earthquake from far away and see their impact. One can only hear a whisper if the Speaker is close. Elijah heard God in the simplest whisper. How would you respond to God’s voice?
