Sports play such a big role in society. From children of young ages to professional athletes, sports serve as a form of entertainment.
There are so many situations in life that can make us feel utterly helpless.
Sometimes we think of grief as something we experience and then move on. The truth is, though, there is no timeline for grief.
Later this summer we will watch the best athletes in the world compete in the summer Olympics in Paris. And while most of us are not as athletically gifted as those in the games, we still can experience the enjoyment that can be brought by engaging in some type of competition.
In her novel Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte provides a different perspective on that thinking. She writes: “Crying does not indicate that you are weak. Since birth, it has always been a sign that you are alive.”
