Sometimes our faith can feel isolating. We can feel tension, anger, and sadness for the ways in which the Church may have hurt us or someone we love.
Jesus knows what it feels like to be abandoned, to be cast out by friends, to be left alone to pick up the pieces. He knows this all too well, having experienced this deep wound of abandonment.
The saints lived lives marked by the promise of liberation that Jesus brings forth through his life, death, and resurrection.
Often we find ourselves praying to God for things we need, the healing we may seek, or encountering peace in various forms. Part of that praying should also include thanksgiving to a God who not only hears us but resides with us.
Struggling with depression and anxiety is not a reality one can just pray away. It is important to know that we can always seek help—medical, therapeutic, and spiritual.
