Jesus longs to fill our lives with the concrete experience of his abiding presence. He came into the world so that we might experience fullness of life now. Seated at the right hand of the Father, Jesus through the Spirit fulfills his promise. He has not left us orphaned or alone. We have only to be attentive to and expectant of the host of ways throughout the day in which he affirms that we are his. Despite the clutter, noise, and demands of daily life, Jesus remains present in the midst of it all. In the ordinary and expected demands of daily life, Jesus has chosen to pitch his tent and dwell with us. While it is understandable that we can and do lose sight of him, it is not because he is absent or disinterested. The omnipresent God is always present in his Son, encouraging, assisting, and directing us in all our undertakings.
