A Patron Saint for Little Sisters

Reflect

As the younger sister of St. Clare of Assisi, Agnes had a tough act to follow! But this holy and humble woman faced the very same challenges and created her own unique identity as a child of God. How can we emulate that kind of spiritual boldness?

Pray

Dear God,
St. Agnes may not
have started an order
or written a Rule,
but she showed a resilience and faith
that was second to no one.
Let us all follow the example of this courageous woman—
little sister and radical saint—who followed Clare’s example
but forged a path to holiness all her own.
Amen.

Reflect

Are you the middle or youngest child in your family? Let this prayer be a reminder that your faith journey need not mirror that of your siblings. God loves you for you.

  1. It is rather difficult to find saints who originate from the same family. We supplicate that Saints Agnes and Clare intercede for this generation so that they may also produce many holy children in a single family.
