Reflect
Founded in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first ever created global health day. This is an opportunity to remember the lives lost from the HIV/AIDS crisis and show support for those people who live with HIV today. This day also is an opportunity for repentance for the pain caused to the LBGTQIA population who felt ostracized and unsupported during the AIDS crisis.
Pray
Healing God,
Whenever one of your children suffers,
your heart suffers along with them.
We remember the lives lost and those who live today
under the scourge of this disease.
In honesty, we name the pain caused by faith leaders or communities
and work towards repentance and justice for all.
Amen.
