Reflect
When we’re down, regardless of our age, we seek the solace of our mothers. They model a kind of love that is boundless and pure.
Pray
Dear God,
Mothers are instruments
of compassion,
as you showed us
with Mary,
our universal mother.
My own mom
is far less famous,
much less revered,
though no less loved.
Thank you
for mothers everywhere,
who give love and support
and want nothing
in return.
Such a love
can only come
from you,
a loving God.
Amen.
Act
A call, a card, a text, a visit: Reach out to your mom today. If she’s no longer with us, spend a moment in prayer for the woman who loved you first—and loved you most.
