Reflect
Nature reveals to us the character of God—as an all-consuming fire, a gentle breeze, a vast ocean, or a majestic mountain. God is all of these wondrous things, and yet he still chose to come to Earth in the humble form of human flesh. God chose to break bread, write in the dirt, confound people, and heal. Creation—including human beings—speaks of God’s character. If only we’d listen.
Pray
God of matter, Sustainer of all, show us what a gift it is to exist.
Reveal to us your character through the miracle of your creation,
through the miracle of our existence.

Take a walk outside and choose a point of focus—maybe a tree, a bird, or an ant. What does it reveal to you about the nature of God?
