Reflect
As the Israelites hurried to escape Egypt, they did not have time to prepare food before beginning their journey. Imagine the chaos of people rushing around the kitchen and garden filling whatever bags they could with food. Even though they left in haste with little prepared food, they all went with the most important ingredient, the presence of the living God.
Pray
God of our Fathers, you went before and behind the Israelites
as they began their journey fleeing Egypt.
In the same way, you are always with us. You are never not with us—
never not present for an instant. Help me never to forget that.
Amen.

Make a list of who or what in your life is showing you the presence of God right now.
