The crash of an ocean wave, a dramatic bolt of lightning, a double rainbow across the sky—all of these showcase God’s power and make us take notice. But how often do we let the simple things amaze us?
Pray
Dear God, help me see each blessing you put in my path today,
and let me gather them in my mind like a bouquet.
Help me notice each tiny treasure: my child’s toothless grin;
the busy spider in the corner, the meal I enjoy;
my coworker’s kind encouragement.
These are all the work of your hands,
just as much as the crashing surf and the thunderstorm.
I don’t want to miss them.
