Sharing the Word for April 13, 2021

Tuesday of the Second Week of Easter

April 13, 2021
Daily Reading from the USCCB: Psalm 93:1ab, 1cd-2, 5

Today’s reflection is based on Psalm 93. This psalm is a song of praise of the eternal kingship of the Lord. God’s creation stands firm and triumphant against those who strive to overcome it. Hence God is always to be obeyed and worshipped. God is in charge. He’s the ruler of the world, and there is no power that can overcome his.

This psalm is particularly relevant during the Easter season when we celebrate Christ’s triumph over death. There is no power greater than the life of the risen Christ. God has made the world firm. His throne stands forever. His power is everlasting.

“The Lord is king. He is robed in majesty.” How do I experience the power and majesty of God?
