Monday of the Sixth Week of Easter

Daily Reading from the USCCB: John 15:26-16:4
Jesus continues His conversation with His disciples. They will suffer hostility and rejection, He tells them. Their testimony about Jesus will be true, but it will not win acceptance. Those who have not understood Jesus and His teaching will not understand the teaching of the disciples either, even though it’s an authentic reflection of what Jesus taught. But Jesus will send a further witness to His truth–a spokesman Who is nothing less than the Spirit of Jesus and the Father.
It’s hard for us to grasp the relationships between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are all God, all involved in our salvation, all protecting us. God’s generosity knows no bounds. It’s important for us to be open to it.
