Sharing the Word for October 27, 2021

Wednesday of the Thirtieth Week in Ordinary Time

October 27, 2021
Daily Reading from the USCCB: Romans 8:26-30

God continues to address our weakness. His Spirit intercedes for us. God’s goal is our salvation–a purpose in which all creation works together to bring us to the fulfillment that God intends for us.

God has worked for our salvation from the beginning in the unfolding of his plans for us. We are chosen, set apart, called, made righteous, given a share in glory, in the risen life of Christ himself. This divine care has been operative from the beginning and will continue until it’s brought to final consummation.

The various stages do not mean that God chooses some individuals for salvation and others for damnation, but are meant to emphasize the thought and care that God exercises for our salvation still today.
